This means that every pillow and decor item is made especially for you after you have placed your order. That way we do not have to manufacture large quantities up front and have no restrictions on the amount of beautiful designs we can offer, and when we can offer them.

FOUNDER & LEAD DESIGNER
My passion for coastal design started when I was a child. I would create coastal and tropical style patterns in my dreams at night. I would dream about having a wardrobe filled with all the patterns I loved, and a bedroom to die for styled with elegant beautiful things. However, those dreams didn't go anywhere. I didn't believe they were important as I was born into a very practical family (who I love deeply) who didn't believe beautiful things were important, So I got discouraged.
Fast forward to my 40's and I couldn't ignore my heart any longer. It began with quitting my accounting job (that I did not like at all) and taking a very low paying job in beautiful provincial country homewares store. I loved every moment of it. Before then I didn't know I could love being at work. I was now surrounded by beautiful things every day. Watching my customers' faces light up as I helped them find the perfect piece of furniture or decor for their home made my heart light up. Every day I was inspired. My heart began to sing. And then one day while having lunch in the back office I opened a home style magazine and saw an artisan style botanical pattern. An uncontrollable thought lit up in my mind, "I could draw something like that." And I did. That's where it all began.
Over the next decade I was drawing elegant ornate designs in black ink and loving it. Then one day my family and I moved to a beautiful coastal area in Queensland Australia. It was here that I got a sales job in a coastal style furniture and decor store. And this is where my passion for the coastal style flooded out of my soul and into my life. This then progressed to me starting up new stores (for the owner) around the Sunshine Coast and turning his business into a chain of stores. I became the buyer for the stores, the manager and the styler. I loved it. I had so many ideas to make these stores a destination to experience, not just a store to buy furniture and decor. However, the owner and I didn't see eye to eye and I left. And that was the door that opened to start "Totally Coast". I decided to start creating the vision I saw in my mind, to take the opportunity in my own hands and create the beauty like I could see it in my mind.
